We were delighted to be invited to yesterday’s Innovus 2016 Showcase and Awards. We were doubly delighted when we found out our Second Sight technology had been shortlisted as finalists for the Best Nuclear Decommissioning Project Award, sponsored by Sellafield Ltd.
We didn’t win, unfortunately, but it was a real boost to see ourselves listed alongside Barrnon and Createc, who are both delivering amazing solutions to the Nuclear Decommisioning industry. Congratulations to Barrnon for collecting the award to add to their growing collection!
We’ve made great strides with Second Sight this year having demonstrated to a number of stakeholders at Sellafield (and their major suppliers) and we’re getting very close to seeing it in live use in the coming months.
We’ve been able to make significant progress thanks, of course, to all the help and support we’ve received and this is a brief thank you to those that have helped us. Firstly, Innovus gave us a platform to begin development with their Proof of Concept award. Sellafield Ltd and National Nuclear Laboratory have oragnised numerous sessions for us to better understand their businesses and the challenges involved in Nuclear Decommissioning, allowing us to build a system using our mobile expertise that could genuinely make a difference. Finally, FIS360 and Alan Smithson have given us crucial business development advice that made sure we were always considering more than just a technical implementation.
